  As part of the celebration of 'International Year of Millets-2023', the Embassy has planned to organise a focused one-week millet campaign from 22-28 January 2023. On the second day of the focused campaign, millet dish was served to the students of the British School in Baku on 23.01.2023. About 150 children and teachers tasted the millet dishes and liked it at British School. Children were informed about the benefits of uses of millets and brouchers on millets were also distributed. - January 23, 2023

  The Embassy of India in Baku, in association with Texprocil and Founder Club, organized an India-Azerbaijan Business Meet on Textiles sector in hybrid mode on 19 January 2023 with the participation of the representatives of Azerbaijani and Indian textile companies in order to explore the potential for bilateral business cooperation in textile sector. Mission also used the opportunity to promote the International Year of Millets 2023 and brochures on millets were distributed among the participants. - January 19, 2023

  The Embassy of India, Baku celebrated the Vishwa Hindi Diwas on January 10, 2023 at a local Hotel in Baku. The Mission used the opportunity to promote a number of millet dishes and products, as part of the celebration of the 'International Year of Millets-2023', declared by the UN. A small exhibition on various millet items including ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook millet items, was organised at the venue. The visitors were served millets dishes including Sorghum & Bell pepper salad, Falafel, Little millet Mexican rice, Bajre ki roti, Little millet rice pudding. Leaflets containing information on the benefits of the uses of various millets products were also distributed to the guests. - January 10, 2023

  Embassy of India, Baku celebrated the Vishwa Hindi Diwas on January 10, 2023 to promote Hindi language. It also marks the anniversary of the language spoken for the first time in the UNGA in 1949. Charge d' Affaires, Shri Vinay Kumar read out the message of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and addressed the audience. The event was attended by learners and teachers of the Hindi language, representatives of Azerbaijani universities, local lovers of Indian history and culture, members of the Indian diaspora and Indian students in Azerbaijan, prominent Azerbaijani figures of culture and journalists. - January 10, 2023

  Embassy of India, Baku commemorated the "Veer Baal Diwas" to honour the martyrdom of Baba Fateh Singh and Baba Zorawar Singh, the 'Sahibzade' of 10th Guru Gobind Singh Ji in the Embassy premises on 26th December 2022. The event was attended by over 50 people. An exhibition on “Veer Baal Diwas” was being showcased to pay tribute to the bravery and martyrdom of the two Sahibzade, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji. - December 25, 2022

Approx two hundred people tasted the Millet dish & Indian Tea and liked it.   Embassy of India, Baku organized the “Constitution Day” event on 25 November 2022 at Premier Palace Hotel, Baku to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect from 26th January 1950. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Chairman of the Drafting Committee, is considered to be the Chief Architect of the Constitution of India. He is also called the Father of the Indian Constitution - November 25, 2022

  Embassy of India, Baku hosted an official inauguration of the regular Yoga classes on November 1, 2022. The event, held in the Embassy premises, brought together Yoga practitioners and enthusiasts, followers of healthy lifestyle, and lovers of Indian culture. The inaugural Yoga session was conducted by the well-known Yoga instructor Mr Kanan Mammadov, who has extensive knowledge and experience in teaching Yoga to any person regardless of their experience in Yoga. - November 01, 2022

Ayurveda Day 2022 celebrations in Baku centered on International Year of Millets 2023 IYOM 2023 theme. Cd'A Mr. Vinay Kumar spoke about the benefits of Ayurveda and nutritional benefits of Millets & their role in food, nutrition security.   The Embassy of India in Baku organized a B2B meeting on India-Azerbaijan Cooperation in Tiles sector on 18 October 2022 with the participation of an Indian delegation comprising four companies and about 15 representatives of major Azerbaijani companies and business support organizations, including AZPROMO. Companies from both countries gathered in JW Marriott Absheron Baku in order to explore the potential for business cooperation in tiles sector. - October 18, 2022
