  As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Mission, in collaboration with the Indian Diaspora Associations, commemorated the 153rd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and International Day of Non-violence on 02 October 2022. The event was attended by about 150 people including H.E. Mr. Novruz Mammadov, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Academicians, cultural figures, Indian community members and media personnel. A painting exhibition on Gandhi and an exhibition of Khadi were the major attractions during the event. Certificates were distributed to the participants of online course on Gandhi philosophy, organized by ICCR. - October 03, 2022

  As part of the celebrations of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” on completion of 75 years of India’s Independence, the Embassy of India, Baku organized an event on September 22, 2022, to commemorate the Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day 2022. The event was attended by the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Ministries of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ITEC Alumni, heads of Indian community associations & prominent Indians in Azerbaijan and media representatives. In his address, Charge d’Affaires of India Mr. Vinay Kumar underlined the significance of ITEC programme for capacity building of scholars from partner countries including Azerbaijan. - September 22, 2022

  The Fashion & Lifestyle Exhibition (Best of India) - Biggest Exclusive Indian Product Trade Show was formally inaugurated jointly by Mr. Vinay Kumar, Charge d'Affairs of India to Azerbaijan, Mr. Gaurav Gupta from Federation of Indian Export Organisations, Mr. Anil Mehta, Chairman, ANM Exhibition at Baku Sport Hall, 26A M. Huseynov Street (old Neftchilar Avenue) on September 02, 2022 at 04:00 PM (1600 hrs). During the event, Indian tea are served to visitors to taste. - September 03, 2022

  To commemorate the 75 years of India’s Independence, under the theme “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, Embassy of India, Baku in collaboration with ANM Exhibitions, organised an Exclusive Fashion Show presenting “Indian Creativity on Ramp” at JW Marirott Absheron on 31 August 2022. A large number of Indian and Azerbaijani guests, including Government officials, representatives from Chambers of Commerce, business people and media personnel attended the event. - August 31, 2022

  The Embassy celebrated the 76th Independence Day of India. Cd'A Mr. Vinay Kumar hoisted the tricolor, followed by screening of Hon'ble President's message to the nation on the eve of Independence Day. The celebration also included cultural performances by the members of Indian diaspora and friends of India. - August 15, 2022

  Embassy of India, Baku in association with Indian Association of Tour Operators organised a State Tourism promotion event as a part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” at JW Marriott Absheron Baku on July 26, 2022 in hybrid mode. Around 25 Azerbaijani prominent personalities from the field of tourism and hospitality industry and known people from electronic and print media attended the event in physical mode, while their Indian counterparts joined the event in virtual mode. The Indian participants made presentations on Indian states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Kerala, Goa and Rajasthan. - July 26, 2022

  The 8th International Day of Yoga was celebrated in the Embassy of India, Baku in association with the Classical Yoga School, led by Mr Elchin Guliyev, The Art of Living, led by Mr. Kanan Mammadov, and Yoga Shahi Studio, led by Ms. Sabina Shahi at the Embassy premises on 21 June 2022 with participation of approximately 200 yoga enthusiasts. On the same day, the Embassy in cooperation with the Education Ministry of Republic of the Azerbaijan organized a yoga session for schoolchildren at the Embassy premises on the occasion of IDY 2022. - June 21, 2022
