  Embassy of India, Baku celebrated National Tourism Day as part of the 73rd Republic Day of India and 75 years of India’s Independence – Azadi KaAmrit Mahotsav on 25 January 2022. The event was held in a hybrid mode and was attended by over 60 prominent personalities in the field of tourism and hospitality industry, medical professionals and representatives of the media. - January 25, 2022

  Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas 2022 was celebrated by the Embassy in Landmark Hotel, where keynote address by MOS Hon'ble Shri V. Muraleedharan was shown. Ambassador addressed the gathering, which saw participation of prominent diaspora members, including special remarks from Dr. Rajani Chandra D'Mello, recipient of PBSA 2021. Later in the day, Vishwa Hindi Diwas was also celebrated, which saw avid participation from diaspora members and Hindi lovers in Azerbaijan. - January 10, 2022

  A program was organised to celebrate Constitution Day of India in the Embassy premises, where Ambassador addressed the gathering of diaspora members. A documentary on Constitution of India was also presented, followed by an interactive presentation by Mr Aditya Bhatia. - November 26, 2021

  An event was organized at the India House by the Embassy of India, Baku towards “Celebration of Childhood”, which saw participation from diaspora children. Children came up with vivid performances, like singing, dancing & recitation of poems. An interactive quiz competition was also held on the theme of Dekho Apna Desh. Later on the day, presentations were made in celebration of Kashi Utsav, Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, Rajbhasha commemoration and Communal Harmony Diwas. A short video on the life event of Bhagwan Birsa Munda was also played during the commemoration. - November 22, 2021

  As part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrations dedicated to 75 years of India’s Independence, the Embassy of India in Azerbaijan held a presentation of the states of India in association with the Yanardag State Historical, Cultural, and Natural Reserve. The event featured representation from the Indian states of Telangana, Bihar, Kerala, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. - October 15, 2021

  Embassy of India organized an event on October 02, 2021 to commemorate the 152nd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The event was was attended by senior scholars from Azerbaijan University of Languages and Azerbaijan National Academy of Science, including Vice Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages Dr. Jala Garibova.   Embassy of India in Baku together with the Telecommunications Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) organized a webinar and a virtual B2B meeting on the Telecommunications Sector on 21 September 2021. More than 40 participants, including representatives of major Indian and Azerbaijani telecommunications companies, TEPC and embassy officials, attended the meeting, which was held as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. - September 21, 2021

  As part of celebrations to commemorate the 75 years of India’s Independence, Embassy of India, Baku organized an event on September 16, 2021, to celebrate Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day 2021. The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Rauf Hajiyev, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Soltan Mammadov, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, senior officers from Ministry of Ecology, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Ministries of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ITEC Alumni, heads of Indian community associations in Azerbaijan and media representatives. - September 16, 2021
