  Embassy of India, Baku in association with Indian Association in Azerbaijan organized the Food Festival in Landmark Hotel on 11.12.2022. Mission made arrangement for free genuine Indian tea tasting and millet dish was also served to the visitors as part of celebration of International Year of Millets 2023. Approx five hundred people tasted the Indian Tea and liked it. Mission also distributed Indian tourism publicity materials and brochures on Indian Tea to the visitors. - December 12, 2022

  Embassy of India, Baku organized the “Constitution Day” event on 25 November 2022 at Premier Palace Hotel, Baku to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect from 26th January 1950. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Chairman of the Drafting Committee, is considered to be the Chief Architect of the Constitution of India. He is also called the Father of the Indian Constitution - November 25, 2022

  Embassy of India, Baku hosted an official inauguration of the regular Yoga classes on November 1, 2022. The event, held in the Embassy premises, brought together Yoga practitioners and enthusiasts, followers of healthy lifestyle, and lovers of Indian culture. The inaugural Yoga session was conducted by the well-known Yoga instructor Mr Kanan Mammadov, who has extensive knowledge and experience in teaching Yoga to any person regardless of their experience in Yoga. - November 01, 2022

  As part of Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Embassy of India, Baku celebrated the Ayurveda Day 2022 on Friday, October 21, 2022. Ayurveda Day 2022 celebrations in Baku centered on International Year of Millets 2023 IYOM 2023 theme. Cd'A Mr. Vinay Kumar spoke about the benefits of Ayurveda and nutritional benefits of Millets & their role in food, nutrition security.   The Embassy of India in Baku organized a B2B meeting on India-Azerbaijan Cooperation in Tiles sector on 18 October 2022 with the participation of an Indian delegation comprising four companies and about 15 representatives of major Azerbaijani companies and business support organizations, including AZPROMO. Companies from both countries gathered in JW Marriott Absheron Baku in order to explore the potential for business cooperation in tiles sector. - October 18, 2022

  As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Mission, in collaboration with the Indian Diaspora Associations, commemorated the 153rd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and International Day of Non-violence on 02 October 2022. The event was attended by about 150 people including H.E. Mr. Novruz Mammadov, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Academicians, cultural figures, Indian community members and media personnel. A painting exhibition on Gandhi and an exhibition of Khadi were the major attractions during the event. Certificates were distributed to the participants of online course on Gandhi philosophy, organized by ICCR. - October 03, 2022

  As part of the celebrations of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” on completion of 75 years of India’s Independence, the Embassy of India, Baku organized an event on September 22, 2022, to commemorate the Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day 2022. The event was attended by the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Ministries of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ITEC Alumni, heads of Indian community associations & prominent Indians in Azerbaijan and media representatives. In his address, Charge d’Affaires of India Mr. Vinay Kumar underlined the significance of ITEC programme for capacity building of scholars from partner countries including Azerbaijan. - September 22, 2022

  The Embassy celebrated the 76th Independence Day of India. Cd'A Mr. Vinay Kumar hoisted the tricolor, followed by screening of Hon'ble President's message to the nation on the eve of Independence Day.   Embassy of India, Baku in association with Indian Association of Tour Operators organised a State Tourism promotion event as a part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” at JW Marriott Absheron Baku on July 26, 2022 in hybrid mode. Around 25 Azerbaijani prominent personalities from the field of tourism and hospitality industry and known people from electronic and print media attended the event in physical mode, while their Indian counterparts joined the event in virtual mode. The Indian participants made presentations on Indian states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Kerala, Goa and Rajasthan. - July 26, 2022
