Swachh Bharat Kosh
The Government of India has set up a “Swachh Bharat Kosh” (Clean India Fund) to attract Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds from Corporate Sector and contributions from individuals and philanthropists to achieve the objective of Clean India (Swachh Bharat) by the year 2019, the 150th year of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi through Swachh Bharat Mission. A nation-wide effort is on to mobilize resources for improving sanitation facilities in rural and urban areas in India, especially in schools. It is also informed that the NRIs/PIOs can also contribute in the Swatch Bharat Kosh. The contribution can be made either online or through cheque/DD/Electronic transfer.
