Ambassador Abhay Kumar Attends Opening of International Watercolor Festival “Caspian Waves” 2026 in Baku
Ambassador Abhay Kumar, attended the opening ceremony of the International Watercolor Festival “Caspian Waves” 2026 in Baku and delivered the keynote address.
In his remarks, Ambassador Kumar highlighted the important role of art and culture in fostering mutual understanding, friendship, and people-to-people connections among nations. He appreciated the efforts of the organizers in bringing together renowned watercolor artists from across the world and providing a platform for creative dialogue and cultural exchange.
On the occasion, the Ambassador met distinguished Indian watercolor artists Kalidas Satardekar, Gade Rajkumar, Bharat Pandit, and Rajesh Ajgaonkar, whose artworks are featured in the festival exhibition. He congratulated them on representing India at this prestigious international event and showcasing the richness and diversity of Indian artistic traditions.
The International Watercolor Festival “Caspian Waves” 2026, organized by the International Watercolor Society (IWS) Azerbaijan, has brought together professional watercolor artists from different countries for exhibitions, live painting sessions, and cultural interactions.
The festival served as a valuable platform for promoting intercultural dialogue and strengthening artistic cooperation.
